Our Museum held our annual Festival of Trees where we invited local non-profits to decorated themed Christmas trees throughout the Museum from November 29th through January 3rd. This year was different, as Museum guests were asked to vote for their favorite tree. Many guests voiced that they had a difficult time voting for just one tree. Some guests voted on the appearance of the tree, some voted on the purpose of the organization, some even voted based on a formula (perhaps eeny meany miney moe?). The winning tree was the North Myrtle Beach Police Foundation, where they had received 152 votes and won a brick in our brick garden. In total, we had 552 guests vote for their favorite tree.
The Museum is so thankful for everyone who stopped by and voted, as well as for all of the organizations who participated this season! We look forward to this year’s Festival of Trees! The Museum is looking for a few more participants next year. If your non-profit would like to participate, please contact Kaitlyn at 843-427-7668 or history@nmbmuseum.com .
